We understand that your travel plans may have been disrupted by the COVID-19 situation and the subsequent measures from the New Zealand Government and global health authorities. Please therefore see our guidelines and information in regards to changing your plans below. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Are your train services operating?
Our train journeys will not be operating for 4 weeks, as of 24th March. This is following the NZ Government's announcement that all "non-essential" services should close for 4 weeks. Bookings are open from 20th of April onwards. We will be sure to update passengers if this changes.
Postpone travel and cancellations:
Given the current situation, Dunedin Railways has decided to provide flexibility around our standard terms and we will now provide a refund for your journey if you need to cancel or if your journey has been canceled. Due to the government announcement our team are now out of the office. But you can email us on [email protected] and we will be in touch and process your refunds when we return.
Who do I contact if I'm sick?
Please do not turn up to travel if you are showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone with a suspected or confirmed case. You may be refused travel if you are showing symptoms.
